We recommend that you always have a look at the provided
link to download the latest version of the software. These instructions
are designed to assist customers set up the system quickly and with
ease.
Please also read the manual included in the CD you got with your package.
It is assumed that the reader has some experience with installing
PCI cards into a PCI slot on a PC motherboard. If this is not the
case, please seek assistance. Installing the VP-DTV Sat or Sat-ci
model is no different than installing any other PCI board (sound card,
modem, network card, etc).
- Uninstall any TV Tuner, video capture or other device that
uses the BT8x8 family of chipsets.
- Choose a PCI slot on the motherboard in the middle (not the
one close to the AGP port, and not the one at the other end of
the MB).
- Connect the Satellite TV cable only after the card is fully
installed and secured in the PC. If uninstalling the card, disconnect
the cable first.
- If you have purchased the VP-DTV Sat-Ci and you are using a
CAM, please make sure that the CAM is not inserted until the PCI
card is fully installed in the PCI slot and secured firmly (tighten
the screw on side of the PC case).
- DO NOT INSERT THE CAM UP-SIDE-DOWN or you may damage the CAM
or the interface.
- The CAM logo (eg Irdeto) should be
facing
the side of the card where the chips, tuner, cable etc are. That
is downward in a PC Tower Case.
- Do not apply too much pressure when inserting the CAM, it should
slide in CI slot freely.
Also ensure you insert the Smart Card with the chip on the same side
as the CAM logo.
.

green bars appearing)
